Ham and Pineapple Pizza

 

 

 

 

Serves: 4

 

 

Preparation and Cooking Time: 30 minutes

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

 

  • 4 wholemeal pita rounds

  • 1/2 cup of tomato paste

  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • Juice and zest of one lemon

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 2 medium grated carrots

  • 1 red capsicum, seeded and diced

  •  2 cups freshly chopped pineapple

  • 300g grated light cheese

  • 200g diced ham

  • Freshly chopped parsley or basil


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

 

  • Combine the tomato paste, sweet chilli sauce, garlic and dried oregano.

  • Place the pita rounds onto a greased oven tray. 2 should fit on a large tray.

  • Using a pastry brush, cover each round with the tomato mix. Top each with grated carrot, diced pineapple and cheese, then sprinkle the ham on top and

    bake in a preheated 200 degrees oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley or basil before serving.
