Don’t Worry About the Little Things

As you might remember, the head of large company survived the 9-11 disaster in New York because he took his son to kindergarten.

Another fellow survived because it was his turn to bring donuts to work.

Another woman was late because her alarm clock didn’t go off in time.

One woman was late to work because she was stuck on the turnpike because of a car accident.

Another person missed their bus.

One person spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.

Another’s car wouldn’t start.

One couldn’t get a taxi.

The one situation that resinates with me is the man who put a new pair of shoes on that morning. On his way to work his foot developed a blister which caused him to stop at a drug store to buy a Band-Aid. This is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator or have to line up at the supermarket, I think to myself that this is exactly where God wants me to be at that very moment.

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, your children are slow getting dressed, you can’t find your car keys or you seem to be hitting every traffic light on your way to work, don’t get mad or frustrated; remember you are where you need to be.

Relax take a deep breath and don’t worry about the little things
