5 Tips for Parents who are looking to encourage their Kids to be physically and mentally active!


Exercise Activities for Kid’s helps children maintain a healthy weight, builds grow strong bones, and instills confidence and self esteem. Best of all exercise activities can be designed to be fun and enjoyable!


All kids ought to be physically and mentally active for at least 30 minutes every day. Parents can help by encouraging their children to find activities that they enjoy doing, are fun and easy to implement. A lot of kids love playing in a playground or running around a park.  


As a parent or caregiver, your job is to keep children engaged and focused on being physically active and healthy. We know, it isn’t an easy job, so here are some tips to encourage children to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.


  • A lot of children spend their time playing and watching TV, video games, or computers, which in moderation is OK. Children, like adults, need to unwind but remember that children need 30 minutes of exercise activities each and every day to stay healthy.
  • With homework, school, and extracurricular activities, children’ schedules can be filled-up quickly, so try and incorporate activities that can fit in with their schedule. For example, helping with dinner or setting the table is a fun way that they can be active.
  • Parents should spend time walking and cycling with the children as often as possible. Taking your dog for a walk is a great way for your children to get active.
  • Support your child in clubs, sports, or any other exercising activities that they like. Research shows that club sports participation is a great ways for children to build social networks, have fun and build self esteem and confidence.
  • Lastly experts recommend no more than 2 hours of video games and TV per day.
