7 Easy Ways to Make Fruit Juices for Kids

 

 

1. Strawberry, Kiwi and Peach Slushy

 

Ingredients:

  • 250g (9oz) strawberries, hulled
  • 2 kiwifruit, peeled and chopped
  • 200g (7oz) canned peaches in natural juice
  • 3 scoops of orange sorbet or gelato

 

Instructions

 

Blend the strawberries, kiwifruit, undrained peaches and sorbet or gelato in a belnder until smooth. Makes 2 large glasses

 

2. Zucchini and Apple Juice

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 6 apples, stalks removed
  • 2 zucchini (courgette)
  • 3 cm (1 1/4 inch) piece ginger
  • ice cubes, to serve

 

Instructions:

 

Juice the apples, zucchini and ginger through a juice extractor. Stir to combine and serve over ice. Makes 2 large glasses

Ingredients:

 

  • 8 peaches, stones removed
  • 1 small pineapple, peeled
  • 10g (1/2 cup) mint leaves
  • 2 cm (3/4 inch) piece ginger

 

Instructions:

 

Juice the peaches, pineapple, mint and ginger through a juice extractor. Stir to combine. Makes 2 large glasses

 

4. Banana, Kiwi and Lemon Frappe

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 bananas, chopped
  • 3 kiwifruit, peeled and chopped
  • 4 scoops of lemon sorbet

 

Instructions

 

Blend the banana, kiwifruit and sorbet in a blender until smooth. Makes 2 medium glasses

Ingredients:

 

  • 500g ( 1lb 2 oz) lychees, peeled and seeded
  • 2cm (3/4 inch) piece ginger
  • 3 large passionfruit
  • 500ml (2 cups) lemonade or soda water

 

Instructions:

 

Juice the lychees and ginger through a juice extractor. Stir through the passionfruit pulp and lemonade or soda water. Makes 2 large glasses

 

6. Pink is the Color

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 4 pink grapefruits, peeled
  • 500g (1 lb 2 oz) black seedless grapes
  • 3 large passionfruit
  • 1 teaspoon pomegranate syrup
  • honey to taste
  • ice cubes, to serve

 

Instructions:

 

Juice the grapefruit and grapes through a juice extractor. Stir through the passionfruit pulp, pomegranate syrup and honey and serve over ice. Makes 2 large glasses.

 

 

7. Fixing the Cold

 

 Ingredients:

 

  • 4 celery stalks
  • 1 kg (2 lb 4 oz) carrots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 10g (1/2 cup) flat-leaf (italian) parsley
  • 2 teaspoons honey

 

Instructions:

 

Juice the celery, carrots, garlic and parsley through a juice extractor. Stir through the honey. Makes 2 medium glasses
